Paint adhesion and filler adhesion are easy with the right products and, even better news...

Why is it so hard to get adhesion on some plastics? I tried to get one of the guys in the lab to explain it to me and it was way over my head... But, the important thing to know is not "why" but "how". In other words, "How do I get paint and fillers to bond well to plastic?"

You need an adhesion promoter

How many times have you tried to sand down your filler, only to have the edge start peeling up on you? If you've only had it happen once, then you've had it happen too many times.

Here's the problem...

When you put fillers or paint on some of the "problem plastics" the filler wants to "bead up" like water on a freshly waxed car. The secret of adhesion promoter is the resin. It has one of the only resins that will actually stick to the "problem plastics"

Plastic Magic and Filler Prep both contain this special resin.

Plastic Magic is for making paint stick to "problem plastics". It's not as concentrated as the Filler Prep. If you need to make your filler stick, use Filler Prep. If you need to make your paint stick, use Plastic Magic.
